  • REBECCA RUZIBUKA

    Chairperson

    Rebecca Ruzibuka is a Director of ADC Tanzania Ltd. She has accumulated more than 35 years of experience working in Tanzania and Rwanda in academics and as a Consultant in areas of Business Development Services (BDS). Presently Rebecca is involved in the implementation of the USADF- Rwanda Program as a Program Director of the partner organization -Africa Development Consultant Ltd.

    Her other recent accomplishments include Lead Consultant for “Business Planning on behalf of the Post-Harvest and Agribusiness Support Project (PASP), “Develop Business Plans on behalf of NAEB/PRICE Project Beneficiaries for easy access to Financial Services both projects funded by IFAD through Rwanda Ministry of Agriculture, “Cooperative Business Management Capacity Building Training Program for the Rwanda National - Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB)” funded by IFC. She conducted the Organizational Capacity Assessment and facilitated the 3 Rwanda SMEs funded by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in business modelling and developed a 5 year Business Plan (October 2018 – February 2019). She also provided Technical Assistance to SMEs supported in Rwanda and Tanzania by the Aceli Africa Inc. Rebecca’s experience in academics include a Lecturer of Business Management and Materials management subjects at the Institute of Development Management (IDM) now Mzumbe University (1991-2001), Head of Entrepreneurship Depart and Senior Lecturer of Business Management subjects. Also, she was a Manager of the University Technology and Business Incubation Facility at Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIS) now part of the University of Rwanda.

    Rebecca is a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) offered by the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) of USA. She possesses a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Emporia State University, Kansas, USA, 1996; Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (ADBA) from IDM, Tanzania. She is also a Certified Supplies Professional (CSP) offered by the Tanzania Board of Materials Management. Rebecca was also the Marketing Manager of the Morogoro Leather Goods Company Ltd in Tanzania (1985- 1991)

  • ESTHER KITOKA

    Executive director

    Esther is a seasoned banker having worked in the banking sector as Bank Examiner for 9 years in the Bank of Tanzania (Central Bank) and later as a commercial banker for 15 years in CRDB Bank Pl where she grew up to the C-suite level as Deputy Managing Director for over 8 years. In May 2020, she joined Equity Bank Tanzania Ltd as Executive Director for special assignment of developing Strategy for turning around the Bank.

    Throughout her career, Esther made remarkable achievement as part of the team which transformed CRDB Bank Plc to become the largest bank in the country. As Director of Risk, she was the champion in establishment of enterprise risk management framework and practices in CRDB. She also made other remarkable achievements in the areas of cost management and transformation of cost centers into profit centers through adoption of retail strategy. She was the champion for establishment of performance management system and project management framework. Esther left Equity in January 2022, after making another remarkable achievement by significantly reducing non-performing loans, building strong winning team with the right capabilities, enhancing governance, and developing a Strategy that provides clear direction of the Bank in the coming 3 years. She joined ADC Tanzania Ltd in February 2022 as Director with the responsibility of driving the vision of the company striving to become the partner of choice in business transformation. In addition to banking experience, Esther has developed skills in the areas of Project Management, Risk Management, Analytics, Procurement, HR, Finance and Accounting, IT, Strategy Formulation, Performance Management, Problem Loan Management and Recovery, Corporate Governance, Agile-Scrum Master Framework, General Management and Leadership. She has Master of Commerce Degree in Banking and Business Information System- University of Sydney, Australia, and Certified Public Accountant CPA (T). Other professional qualifications include Directorship from Institute of Directors UK and Advanced Management Programme (AMP 191) from Harvard Business School.

  • LEONARD KITOKA

    Director

    Leonard is the Director of ADC Tanzania Ltd, and currently Programme Director for the implementation of the USADF Programme in Tanzania. Leonard is also a founding member of both ADC Rwanda and INNOVEX in Tanzania where he is the MD. He is a qualified accountant (CPA-PP), an Accredited European Excellence Assessor, and a Certified Project Manager. He graduated with an MBA in Finance and a B. Com Finance degree, both from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Leonard received a “Post Graduate Diploma in Poverty Analysis for Social economic Security and Development” from the Institute of Studies of The Hague. In addition, Leonard has attended other course such an Advanced Leadership course at Harvard Business School, Boston and a Diploma in Project Management from Galilee Institute, Israel. With 24 years’ experience in providing professional services in Eastern Africa, he has extensive experience in conducting a wide range of engagements in public and private sectors as well as for donors operating in Tanzania. He has delivered consultancy assignment for such donors as WB, AfDB, FAO, USAID, CDC, UNDP, UNFPA, JICA, GIZ, SIDA, CIDA, UNICEF, AFD, SDC, DFID, DANIDA and EC.

    Leonard sits on several Board of Directors in both private and public companies and in most of them he is involved in or leads the audit and risk committee. Previously Leonard worked for UNDP, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Afro Aid Development Consultants, Coopers and Lybrand and the University of Dar es Salaam. Most of his work have been carried out in Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, and Southern Sudan. He speaks Kiswahili and English.

  • DEVOTHA MINZI

    Director

    Mrs. Devotha Ntuke Minzi is a director of ADC Tanzania Limited. Devotha possesses a Master’s Degree in Economics, from Youngstown State University, United States of America (1996) and a Bachelor of Sciences majoring statistics, from the University of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania (1984). Devotha also has acquired a Postgraduate Diploma in Poverty Analysis from the Institute of Social Studies (2005).

    Devotha is a Certified Director (July 2016) by the Institute of Directors (IOD) London, UK. Currently she is a Board member of Tanzania Tax Revenue Appeals Board (TRAB), an independent board, responsible with handling Tax disputes between taxpayers’ and Commissioner General of Tanzania Revenue Authority. In addition, Devotha a Chairperson of the K-Finance Board, a micro-finance accredited by the Central Bank of Tanzania (BOT).

    Recently, K- Finance was awarded as the Best Female Owned microfinance of the year 2020. In the past, Devotha served as Board member (2015-2018) of CRDB Bank Plc, a leading Financial Services Provider in Tanzania.

    She also saved as a member of the Board of Habitat for Humanity Tanzania (HFHT), a Non-Government Organization with an international affiliation involved with provision of micro housing Finance (2013-2019).

    Devotha’s work experience includes 24 years working for the Central Bank of Tanzania in different positions. She joined the bank as a Statistician and was Senior Economist in the in the Research and Policy Directorate by the time she left the Central Bank. She opted for early retirement with the bank to establish K – Finance Ltd and become the first CEO from 2008-2017. Devotha’s experience is very instrument in the management of ADC Tanzania.

  • EILEEN MWAKISESE

    USADF Program Manager

    Eileen Asukile Mwakisese is the USADF Program Manager for ADC Tanzania. She possesses a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance(2019) from Mzumbe University, a Bachelor of Economics and Finance (2014) from the Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) and a Diploma in French language, DELF A1, Alliance Française Dar es Salaam (2011). She is highly competent in using QuickBooks, KPI, Ms Office, SPSS, Gisel,PPI and OCA.

    Eileen holds qualifications and experiences of 8 years in Financial Management, Grants Management, Technology Fund Management, and Commercial micro-lending. She possesses extensive capability in Accounting for Projects, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Administration and managing client relationships. Eileen has experience in working with marginalized groups after working for years to improve the livelihoods of the underserved communities in Tanzania. She is fluent in English and Swahili, and basic French. She has a passion for reading and travelling.

  • HUSNA MKONY

    Finance Officer

    Husna Swalehe Mkony is ADC Tanzania Finance Officer. She possesses a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance (2012) from the Mzumbe University in Tanzania. She is a member of National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA), currently pursuing her final CPA examinations. Husna is a high-end user of a number of accounting software that include QuickBooks, Tally ERP 9, MYOB, SAGE PASTEL. She has more than seven years of work experience in accounting and financial management functions. Husna is conversant with Tanzanian life by living and working in various places in the country and she is conversant in both Kiswahili and English.

  • ADOLPH SAKAWA

    Business Development Officer

    Adolph is the Business Development Officer of ADC Tanzania, He holds a BSc Agronomy from SUA and Postgrad Diploma in Agriculture from Israel. On top of that he has a number of courses under his belt namely Accessing Halal Markets, Advocacy and Trade Reforms, Introduction to Resources Efficiency and Circular Production and Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition to those he also did courses on Developing Sustainable Business Models for Business Support Organizations and Meeting Standards in the Agriculture Food Sector.

    He also attended Project Risk Management from ESAMI University and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School.

    Adolph has a breadth of knowledge and expertise in Agriculture related capacity building and sustainable Agriculture. He has a deep understanding on the challenges faced by SME’s particularly in the Agriculture sector. When he’s not glued with SME’s, he enjoys anything outdoorsy and active. He’s fluent in English and Swahili and elementary Hebrew.

    Business Development Officer

    Walter is a highly skilled and versatile professional with a strong background in Information Technology and Business Development. As a Business Development Officer at ADC Tanzania, he plays a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering strategic partnerships.

    With a passion for software development and system design, Walter excels in creating innovative solutions to address complex business challenges. He has an in-depth understanding of front-end and back-end technologies, allowing him to develop robust and scalable software applications that meet the specific needs of his clients.

    Walter's technical expertise also extends to data analysis and financial modeling. He possesses a strong command of languages such as R and Python, enabling him to leverage advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms for data-driven insights. His ability to extract meaningful information from complex datasets has empowered organizations to make informed decisions and optimize their operations. In addition, he has hands-on experience with tools like AppSheet, Ms power BI, Tableau which he has utilized to build intuitive and user-friendly data visualization dashboards.

    Business Development Officer

    Elias Missana is an accomplished Business Development Officer at ADC Tanzania, where he leverages his expertise in agricultural economics to drive strategic initiatives and foster sustainable growth within the agricultural sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from Sokoine University of Agriculture, a program that provided him with a robust understanding of agricultural systems, market dynamics, and economic principles.

    Elias has garnered practical experience through internships at key governmental institutions, including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlement, and TANESCO. These positions allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of public policy, financial management, and resource allocation. His exposure to various sectors has enhanced his ability to analyze complex challenges and identify innovative solutions that support both economic development and community welfare.

    In his current role at ADC Tanzania, Elias is committed to advancing the organization’s mission by building strategic partnerships and implementing effective business strategies. He is passionate about promoting sustainable practices and enhancing the livelihoods of farmers and communities across the region.
